Gerlinda Luebke

Gerlinda "Linny" Wilhelmine Magdalina Luebke was born on October 27, 1917 in Barney, ND to Helmuth and Selma (Kressin) Mindeman. She graduated from high school and worked at the Barney Grocery Store and the Post Office.

Linny was united in marriage on November 12, 1942 at Peace Lutheran Church to Eldo Herman Carl Luebke. They moved to a farm north of Mooreton and farmed there until Eldo died in 1969. Gerlinda then moved to Wahpeton and worked at a local nursing home, then at Montgomery Wards. She then worked at Pamida until her retirement in 1989.

Linny was a lifetime member of Peace Lutheran Church at Barney, ND and the LWML until her death. Linny had many friends and loved to visit and receive company, an avid card player, and enjoyed the Minnesota Twins. Her greatest joy was the birth of her great-granddaughter, Claire Luebke in May 2010. Linny moved to Sheyenne Crossings in 2009 where she resided until her death.

Linny leaves to mourn her passing, her son, Jerry (Faith), Fargo, ND; a foster son, Bryant Kressin, Wahpeton, ND; her grandson, Darin (Jennifer) Luebke and great-granddaughter, Claire, Fargo; a sister, Dorothy Griffin, West Fargo, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eldo; a daughter, Mary; a son, Glenn; two brothers Alvin and Marvin Mindeman, and a brother-in-law, Jack Griffin.
